Well.. What's Eating You Then? by artscendence Well.. What's Eating You Then? by artscendence
Visionary Art, executed in trance. (WIP)

I've thrown everything at this............and have safely resurfaced :sun: I think, but not unchanged for eternity

Oil, acrylic, dry pastel, charcoal, conté, pencil on paper.

900x1050mm

(Please note the drawing clips at the top of the image, very professional! [I will upload again without them included] maybe)

Another excellent piece Simon!

I think I have had a meeting with the gasmask wearing pope some time a go. In our encounter he took a pretty big chunk out of my leg, but now he is one of my allies :)

...To conclude on thy brothers birth, a fortunate sign. Hope all goes well and the locals don't run you out of town:fear:, either that, or hug their teacher too much:worship:

Thanks Sam, I still haven't found words to put to Nocturne. It's got me thinking of the eternal/internal Goddess and her reinsertion through myth into the conscious collective. She has never left us..........

It's really just some spiritual renewal (the right of the work) aided by addressing and clearing out some old shit (the left-side)..........On a less personal note, this is the real news of the day, not that stuff authority wants us to chew on, it's only a distraction. Spirit is stirring within the human collective, this is absolutely evident within the confines of DA and in the broader community of creative minds. I believe we are in the process of birthing a new mythological age of awareness :)

hmm interesating explanation..
but i think the skeleton in the bishops headgear is extremely ominous.
i agree that we are entering "mythological age of awareness"...but then i also think its an evolutionary cycle that keeps going on and on.
for awareness you need periods of darkness and chaos.

Absolutely, balance is balance. I've just emerge from this 'darkness and chaos' of an inner nature (again....... and again), the only projection on the outer world being this document, a map if you will. Making this process safe, to ground the experience, I make marks in consensus reality.

As a synchronicity to what you have said, I've literally just read this line (From '2012, The return Of Quetzalcoatl' - Daniel Pinchbeck).........

'Only on the firm foundation of unyielding despair, can the soul's habitation henceforth be built' Bertrand Russell

WOW. That is something. How long have you been carrying that around with you? The colours in the windowsill are DIVINE. Grass-parrot-tail-feathers-green. I especially love the eye giving birth to the beautiful new baby, a caring vision of hope for a new time. Also, the skull face in the hood is fantastic. A very interesting piece. Carry on....(in a Nelson from the Simpsons voice)
